The skins that are used on Seasons drums are probably the most important part of the whole drum. The hides are tanned in Italy, specifically for Seasons. I use selected cow hides and again when we are talking about sets of drums I try to get all of the skins for a set from the same animal so as to guarantee unified timbre throughout the family.
